Untitled document ** ABOUT TMG ** Tina has been a lifelong musician and music lover. She first took an interest in the piano at age three when she began self-teaching and playing by ear. From ages fourteen through seventeen she took classical piano lessons. Over the years, she has also enjoyed playing other musical instruments including trumpet, classical guitar, electric guitar, harmonica and glockenspiel. In 2000, she began experimenting with electronic music. Her inspiration originally derived from Breakbeat and down tempo Drum and Bass. In 2001 she enrolled in the Recording Arts program at the University of South Florida. She took one year of analog recording at USF and then decided to enroll at Full Sail Real World Education in Orlando, FL. During this time, Tina also began learning to mix records and gained skill in the art of DJ'ing. By 2003 she received her Associate of Science degree in the Recording Arts / Audio Engineering. Following graduation from Full Sail, she immediately moved to Los Angeles, CA where she interned in a Hollywood hip-hop & pop music recording studio as an audio engineer. Today, Tina produces electronic music in her own home studio. Her music style has a wide span ranging anywhere from Electro Breaks to electronic orchestral music and anything in between. ** THE GEAR ** I use Pro Tools Digi 002 or Ableton's Live depending on what kind of manipulation or effects I need to get from the applications. I use the Korg Triton Pro X for many synth sounds and/or beats, and the Roland Juno 106 for low end. I have used the Korg Electribe for making beats & I'm still working on my mic collection, but as for now I mainly use an Audio Technica AT3035. I'm not the greatest vocalist, but there's always those little engineering tricks that can make anyone sound like a superstar ;) ! At the heart of it all is a Mac G4. I have a laptop that I use for internet & some music and a desktop that I use for music & ONLY music. I used to be a diehard PC user, but I just love the way a Mac doesn't crash right when you're in the middle of a recording session.
